Bibimbap The Harmony of Flavors in a Bowl Exploring the Korean Food Workshop
Galway, [May 12th, 2023] - JCI Galway hosted a highly successful and immersive Korean Food Workshop, exploring the delightful culinary world of bibimbap as part of the Asian Food Festival Lunch and Learn Series. The event, led by renowned trainer Olive Yeon from Olive's Seoul Food, captivated participants with the art of creating harmonious flavors in a single bowl. The workshop took place at Portershed in Galway, where attendees delved into the vibrant and diverse flavors of Korean cuisine.
Under Olive's expert guidance, participants discovered the intricacies of bibimbap, a beloved Korean dish known for its colorful presentation and the perfect blend of ingredients. Olive shared her passion for Korean cuisine, offering insights into the cultural significance and symbolism behind bibimbap.
The workshop began with an introduction to the key components of bibimbap, emphasizing the importance of properly cooked rice as the foundation of the dish. Olive then guided participants through the selection and preparation of various toppings, such as marinated vegetables, savory meats, and spicy sauces. Participants learned the art of layering these elements to create a visually stunning and deliciously balanced bibimbap.

Also, Olive had prepared the traditional Korean clothing "hanbok" for everyone to try on as part of the Korean cultural experience.
